Here at ProTex Restoration we pride ourselves on using some of the latest technology and 'eco-friendly' systems available. After researching our options, we chose to use the Electrolux 'Lagoon' system alongside the 'Esporta' to ensure that we are offering the highest possible quality service and, at the same time, keep our 'Carbon Footprint' to a minimum. No solvents are used in our cleaning processes, and all the detergents are bio-degradable for chemical free drainage, allowing us to clean your garments with the greatest of care whilst keeping the environment safe.

Joys extensive knowledge and her experience will soon have your Louis Vuitton handbag looking like it did the day you bought it! She can even give it a 'makeover' if you're looking to update it to match your wardrobe.

WEDDING DRESSES
We pride ourselves on the fact that our service is a 'restoration' service - which is where we differ from the usual 'Dry Cleaning' services that most people opt for. Our aim is to return your dress to you looking as close to the first time you saw it as possible. All of the restoration is carried out by hand - so attention to detail is paramount to us.
We offer a pre-cleaning assessment where we will advise you as to the extent of the restoration that can be carried out - and when your dress is returned to you, it will be returned in a protective cover or box - whichever is your preference.
GOING THE EXTRA MILE
Items that have been damaged by soot, smoke or moisture can be almost impossible to effectively clean with domestic or standard 'dry-cleaning' methods. Have you noticed that the smell always seems to return, even after washing? That's because those odours become 'trapped' inside the intricate make up of the fabrics.
Now for a quick (and not too painful, I promise) science lesson! You've heard of Ozone? Well, it's ozone (O3) that keeps our earth 'fresh'. O3 (as we all know) is an important factor in protecting the earth from too much sunlight through the upper atmosphere, but it also keeps it fresh at ground level. At the upper level, and at ground level O3 is created daily - as it has been for eons - and then reverts back to Oxygen (O2) again.
Ozone is essentially O2 with an extra oxygen atom attached. This extra atom is produced through the interaction of solar ultra violet radiation with O2. Here, we use an ozone generator to create our own ozone - a super-powered oxygen that can work the 'fresh air' deep into the fibres of the fabrics.
Ozone has a very similar smell to chlorine, but the difference is that the smell quickly dissipates after the odours have been eliminated as the O3 reverts back to O2. The end result being that any area treated with 'Ozone' becomes free of any odours and smells simply of 'fresh air'!
This allows us to fully restore your items in a way that you are unable to at home.
